About our Coat Of Arms and Family Crest gift mirrors

Coats Of Arms (often also called ' Family Crests ') are heraldic designs awarded to families in ancient times, not only in Ireland but in many European countries. Since many people like to give these mirrors as wedding gifts, particularly the Irish, we are delighted to continue with the popular tradition of engraving them on our mirror gifts!

In some rare cases, there can be two or more different Coats Of Arms available for the same family name, so by default, we use the most popular version. If you already have a preference for the version you would like us to use, or if you have a query about the Crest you would like engraved on your gift, feel free to email us.

Our Coats Of Arms mirrors are all designed in the traditional engraved style only although we do offer a range of alternatives on this theme (again, please email us with your ideas to discuss the possibilities). One of the nicest designs can be a combination of both traditional engraving and a single colour. Below are some of the variations available...

Please also note that our designs incorporate only the shield, or central element of the arms. We don't include a 'crest' or a 'motto' since these are often extremely difficult to source to precision.
