Etched mirror retirement gift
This is a unique retirement gift we created late last year for a local National School’s Headmaster’s retirement. The engraved mirror was presented to him by the teaching staff at the school where he had served. They supplied us with the school crest, and we were delighted to etch it into the mirror alongside some well chosen words!

This a nice family crest we have just finished for a customer. The Sheehan Irish family crest is one we had only be asked to engrave a few times before, and it turns out (with the spelling of the name being so similar) that the Sheahan Coat Of Arms is the same design! As you can see, above the design is also a photo of the engraved mirror with the complete wedding gift design

Above are two images of a Family Crest ( Coat Of Arms ) engraved mirror we recently created for one of our customers. The top image is a photo of the finished piece, while the bottom image is a proof. A ‘proof’ is a computer generated picture to show how the gift will look, and is created before we begin work to show the exact design we will be using. We regularly create proofs when working with a customer who is not entirely sure how they want their gift to look. They are ideal when creating a new design we don’t already have in our on-line shop, or merging elements from different gifts to form a bespoke design!

This is a retirement gift we created for Linda who contacted us to enquire about an engraved mirror momento. We drew up this Irish themed design for her and used one of our brown, wooden frames to finish the piece. Linda was nice enough to send us the note below:

Thanks to Carol for sending us the above picture. Carol and her siblings commissioned this engraved mirror from us as a gift to commemorate 30 years of the family business. We were delighted to engrave a view of the front of the tavern into the glass from a photo Carol sent us. As is often the case with a design like this where a lot of the area of the mirror is etched, the sandblasting effect looks so rich and strong! Thanks again, Carol, for taking the time to send in the photo.

Claire emailed us to enquire if we could engrave a design she’d put together to create a unique wedding gift for her friends Stephen & Caroline who will be getting married at the begining of 2012. As always ,we were delighted to produce the sandblasted mirror (above). Claire liked the way our black frame brings out the crisp, sharp qualities of the etched mirror finish, and the fact that she was heavily involved in creating this unique wedding gift mirror made it all the more special! Since the wedding has yet to happen, we have filled the space where the all important wedding photo will be, with a blank insert with instructions for the happy couple to complete their wedding present.

Sharon contacted us in early November to ask if we could engrave a passage from the Wedding Mass Ceremony onto a mirror for her friends, Christina & Jon. The happy couple were very much looking forward to reciting the traditional marriage vows and Christina wanted to reflect this in the gift she chose to present them. Leaving a space free for to add a special photo of the big day, we think this unique idea for a wedding gift will be a favourite of the couple!
